What is your cancellation policy?
The small booking fee is non refundable since we block our dates for you. You pay the rest of the tour fees in the morning on the day of the tour. So the risk of cancellation is shared between you and us.

Do you discount prices for kids and groups?
Yes. Kids below 16 get 50% off.

What if I don’t have time for a full day tour?
Depending on availability, we can generally customize the tours to your needs. Write to us with details of your needs and time restrictions.

What languages do you offer the tour in?
We only offer the tour in English for now. If you are in a group, we can try to find a translator on a cost recovery basis.

My partner isn’t much of a shopper – will they enjoy this tour?
Yes! Everyone enjoys this tour because we share information and take you to neighborhoods that are off the beaten path.  We talk about the history, the people and can answer questions about daily life and living in New Delhi. Your partner can wander about while you shop and take in the sights and colors of Delhi.

What if I have a large group of people?
We generally don’t cater to more than 4 people in a group. It becomes hard to manage and taking a big car or a bus through congested Delhi streets is not fun.  That said, given enough notice we might be able to set up a group tour in smaller cars. Write to us with your group’s details and we will try to help.

Can I do a tour in the weekend?
Yes. Some markets in Delhi are closed on different days of the week. So, depending on the day, we may pick different neighborhoods to go to.

What if I have a special dietary requirement?
We don’t serve a packed lunch. We generally eat out if our tour overlaps the lunch hour. We can surely help you find food that fits your dietary needs.

Are people in wheelchairs catered for on this tour?
Unfortunately, many of the places we visit during the tour are not wheelchair accessible.

What if I have specific shopping requirements?
Please contact us with your wish list and we can advise how we can achieve this for you.

I don’t have time to do a tour but I want to get suits made – can you help me?
Yes, we can organize for a tailor to measure you for suits and help you select the right fabric and suit cloth. Please let us know what you need.

Do I have to buy in the shops you take me to?
No, you are welcome to just browse and see what is available, there is no pressure to purchase at ANY of the places we’ll go to. This is low pressure browsing is really what makes the tour enjoyable.

Do you provide bottled water during the trip?
Yes we do.

What about haggling?
It’s up to you. Negotiating on prices is expected and generally not frowned upon. Lots of people leave the haggling to us for the first few purchases and then try it out on their own. Some people develop a liking to it and some would rather have us do it for them.

Should I carry cash? How safe is the tour?
Security is important for us. This is why we only use our own car and chauffeur for travel. We recommend that you carry cash in a waist belt since smaller shops still prefer cash over credit cards in Delhi.
