DEL or Delhi International airport’s Terminal 3 opened in 2010. It is a modern, easy to access airport but has a few quirks. For example, unlike US and Europe airports, you cannot enter the airport premises without a valid ticket and a matching passport for the ticket.
All international flights leave for Delhi terminal 3. There are 6 steps between you and your flight.
Step 1: Ticket and passport check at the Delhi airport gate
A policeman will check your passport and ticket before you are allowed into the airport. This is an added security measure. Electronic tickets are accepted so long as your name and flight details are clearly mentioned on it.

Step 2: Locate check in counter on display screens and Check in

Step 3: Go to Immigration check after checking in for your flight out of Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3. There are separate counters for business class passengers.


Step 4: Security check
Security check is right after immigration and there are separate lines for business class and first class passengers at Delhi International airport terminal 3

Carry on Bag check
Step 5: Duty free and lounges
Move to the Duty free shop and lounges after security



Step 6: Locate your gate and depart.
